The laws of economics has changed the way we live our lives. Everyday people live their lives in a scarcity mindset because economics has taught them that there is not enough for everybody. We are made to believe that the we have to compete with each other to survive.
But according to Wallace Wattles in his book the Science of Getting Rich, Economics has only invented scarcity.
Look at the very core of Economics, the Law of Demand and Supply. The Demand and Supply is never equal. When the demand is high, the supply is low and vice versa. This way of thinking made the ugly truth about our world today.
People become greedy, selfish and competitive (in a bad way) because they think that they have to fight in order to win.
If only humanity would realize that God is so good that he made resources enough for everyone. In economics they say that every natural resource is limited. So what do greedy people do? They hoard, they raise the prices. Because that product is for a "limited time period" only.
We do not welcome the thought that, even if a certain resource, like gold or diamonds, will vanish from the face of the earth, there will be another replacement to fulfill the need of humanity. There is no need for fighting because there is enough room for everyone.
Just look at the corporate world. People fight against one another behind their backs because their desire the same position in the company.
If only humanity can know that there is enough for everyone, if only we know that God is not selfish to bestow things we need, and if only we know we can have the things we need by trusting and waiting - there would be no need for words like greed and envy. If only there was no Economics.
