Beautiful in His Eyes

I used to hate my eyes. Hey, I said "used to". That's because my eyes are kinda big and I thought that girls with big eyes aren't so pretty.

Now ask me if I still hate them and I'd proudly answer "Of course not! I love them!" I realized that a lot of girls are wishing for the kind of eyes that I have. Some even are willing to go under the knife. I realized I can make a smokey eye makeup and not a lot of girls can wear that kind of makeup. :)

Kidding aside. I learned to love myself more because of a lot of reasons. One reason in particular I have mentioned in my previous blog post during Mother's Day. Another reason is that, I learned that each person is unique. This uniqueness makes each one of us extra special. And when you embrace your own uniqueness you realize that YOU are beautiful.

I also have this way of thinking that I have no right to think I am ugly in any way because God created me. I was handcrafted by God's own hands. The most powerful force in the universe has molded every inch of me, so that makes me and you beautiful. During times when I feel like I'm in my ugliest state, I always tell myself I am beautiful because God created me.

Man was created in God's own image and likeness. Wow, that for me is the most endearing complement. So when somebody tells you you're not beautiful, remember God's own words telling you, you are beautiful. So stay beautiful inside and out!
